Waltham Abbey Residents Association was formed in October 2008 in response to the Government's decision regarding potential permanent Gypsy and Traveller sites in Waltham Abbey Parish.
The Committee consists of 12 residents who stepped forward following a public meeting in the Town Hall.
Over 600 people attended a second Public Meeting and gave them their mandate to act for the good of the community on this matter.
Their aim is to put the interests of the community first, above politics and the bureaucracy of political correctness that has put Waltham Abbey in this situation.
Waltham Abbey Stitch Group is an established group formed in 2004 for local people to meet and enjoy working on their individual craft projects with the company and support of others.
